Giveaway #1: iPod Shuffle, 5-10 May 2009

RANDOM.ORG's first giveaway was for a black iPod Shuffle (4GB) with a random bit string engraved on the back. Since iPods as far as we know do not use true randomness to shuffle their songs, this is likely the first Shuffle in the world to include any measure of true randomness! (Admittedly, it will not have much effect on the playback order of your songs, but still…)

This giveaway was open to anyone who was a RANDOM.ORG newsletter subscriber on 5 May 2009. To enter, please see your copy of the newsletter. The winner was picked on 10 May 2009 using RANDOM.ORG's Third-Party Draw Service. The lucky winner was Guy from Nijlen in Belgium.
